AN international conference on adult learning takes place in the North-East next week.
The Universities Association for Continuing Education (UACE) runs from Monday to Wednesday at the International Centre for Life, in Newcastle.
There will be talks on culture and learning, and culture and the economy, at the conference, which is hosted by Newcastle Centre for Lifelong Learning.
Val Goodrum, head of continuing education at the University of Sunderland, said: "We are delighted to host the UACE conference in Newcastle-Gateshead.
"The cultural energy in the city has been a major attraction for delegates from across the UK and abroad, and we look forward to welcoming them to the city and showing them what is going on here."
