PREPARATIONS are under way for a sports memorabilia sale in the region.
The sale includes signed and framed shirts from Newcastle United, Sunderland Football Club and a Liverpool shirt from the 1996 FA Cup year squad.
The sale will take place on Sunday, April 20, at 7.30pm, at the Moorcock Inn, Eggleston, near Barnard Castle, in County Durham.
Proceeds from the sale will go to The Hair Bare Bunch for Leukaemia which raises money for the Royal Victoria Infirmary, in Newcastle.
The money will be split between a patient comfort fund and Leukaemia Research.
To date, the Hair Bare Bunch, a fundraising body formed as a result of Rachel Sellwood being treated for leukaemia at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, has raised more than £4,100.
Anyone who has sports memorabilia to donate to the sale is asked to take it to the Moorcock Inn on the night.
