ART enthusiasts visiting an exhibition held in a library will have their last chance today to choose their favourite painting by a local artist.
Chester-le-Street Art Society's annual Spring Exhibition ends this afternoon after two weeks on show at the town centre library, at the junction of Front Street and Station Road.
The society is keen for non-members to view the display.
But members of the public attending the exhibition are also asked to become art judges for the day and decide which they prefer. Votes can be cast in the library for the best in show.
Once the votes are counted, the winning artist will be presented with a trophy reflecting the public endorsement.
New members keen to try their hand on canvas are welcome to attend the society's weekly sessions, held at Chester-le-Street Community Centre, in Newcastle Bank, every Wednesday, from 7pm until 9pm.
