A CONCERT is to be held next month in memory of church organist David Garrood, 61, from Sedgefield, who died from a heart attack while practising the piano on December 29.
A former music teacher, Mr Garrood was an organist at St James the Great Church, in Albert Hill, Darlington.
The first annual David Garrood memorial concert will be held at the church on Friday, May 2, and will feature Easter choral music performed by the Carol Andrew singers. Drinks and canapes will be held in the church hall after the concert.
