A RESTAURANT owner has closed his Darlington business, only months after shutting premises elsewhere in County Durham.
Bill Oldfield is turning the Oldfield's restaurant, in Kendrew Street, into offices.
The closure of the Darlington restaurant comes four months after the Oldfield's restaurant in Barnard Castle ceased trading.
Mr Oldfield has another restaurant in Durham City and is finalising negotiations on premises in Newcastle, which are expected to be open by September.
"I am trying to rationalise the business and am looking for markets at larger sites," said Mr Oldfield, who is also considering Edinburgh and Leeds as he continues his plans to expand.
