A SCHOOL supervisor has said goodbye to pupils after 25 years' service.
Alma Kilgour has retired after a quarter of a century at Shotley Bridge Junior School, near Consett. She was guest of honour at the school's Easter party and judged an egg decorating competition, with entries from all 149 pupils. Headteacher Anne Munro said: "She never thought of it as a job, she just loved working with the children so much, and they all loved her. She played with the children, cared for them and sorted out their problems. She was a great friend to them, as well as being very skilled at her job. We will miss her enormously and wish her a very enjoyable retirement."
