A UNIT to help would-be students access adult education courses has been set up in Billingham.
The unit at Billingham Community Centre, on the town's Causeway, can offer prospective students advice and information on adult education courses available in the borough of Stockton.
If the requested course is not run by Stockton's Adult Education Service, staff at the unit will help find a course run elsewhere.
Students must be enrolled on a course before their needs are assessed.
Learners may also be entitled to help with childcare, transport, examination fees and books for study.
For details about the support available, contact (01642) 397370 or visit Billingham Community Centre.
