YOUNG musicians from the Band of '78 are preparing for a real Fantasyland concert.
For the youngsters, none of whom were alive when the band was formed in 1978, will today make the journey to EuroDisney's Fantasyland stage in Paris.
The 55 young Teessiders, aged 12 to 19, will perform a 35-minute programme with film music from Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings in their seventh EuroDisney appearance.
Band members face a 12-hour journey to Paris in readiness for their performance at 12.30pm tomorrow.
Kel Dennis, the band's musical director and Eston Education Action Zone's music co-ordinator, said: "I'm really proud of the fact that the band keeps getting invited back. You can't just go one year and expect to go back the next. So for us to be set for our seventh trip is all credit to the dedication of the musicians throughout the years.
"It all started when I was on a family holiday. I got talking to one of the performers and asked how I could bring my band. I had to send an audition video and it just went on from there
"I don't know how many musicians we've had over the years. Recruitment is really word of mouth."
The band rehearse on Monday evenings at the City Learning Centre, Normanby Road, Eston.
