IRISH SINGER: Frank McCaffrey, Irish singer and humourist will perform at the Civic Hall, Crook, on Saturday.
Proceeds will go towards the Stanhope and Weardale Multiple Sclerosis Society.

FAMILY DISCO: Crook Cricket Club is holding an Easter family disco on Saturday April 19, from 7pm to 11pm, with a dyed egg competition for children. Junior coaching also starts on Saturday for the under-13s, under-15s and juniors, from 10am to noon.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES: The monthly meeting of the Howden-le-Wear Community Association will be held on Thursday, April 24, at 7.30pm.
The community association will begin a series of table-top sales and coffee mornings on Saturday, May 3, from 9.30am to noon. Tables cost £5 to hire.
Gentle keep fit classes for women are held on Mondays, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
The association is seeking a volunteer to coach children's five-a-side football.

EGG COMPETITION: Crook Library is holding a decorated Easter eggs competition for children in the under-eight and eight to 12 age groups. Entries must be submitted to the library by Thursday.
