TORY MP Anne McIntosh is one of the most questioning members of the House of Commons, new figures reveal.
Only her party leader Iain Duncan Smith asked more oral parliamentary questions in the chamber in the 2002 to 2003 session.
In a list of MPs who asked the most questions, the member for the Vale of York came second to Mr Duncan Smith but beat her Tory colleague John Bercow and Liberal-Democrat leader Charles Kennedy into third and forth places respectively.
After the figures were published yesterday, Miss McIntosh pledged to continue raising issues that affected her constituents at every available opportunity.
"Although my duties as a shadow transport minister mean that I cannot spend as much time in the chamber as before, I have tried hard to keep up my attendance in order to raise my constituents' concerns directly in the House," she said.
The rankings show Mr Duncan Smith asked 96 questions, Miss McIntosh 36, Mr Bercow 32 and Mr Kennedy 30.
