It was nice to get back to winning ways with a good performance against Leyton Orient. We played some good football and scored four but we could easily have had more.
It was a good team performance but I have to give special praise to the front men, Kevin Henderson and Eifion Williams. Their work rate was fantastic and both of them deserved the standing ovations they got when they were subbed towards the end.
The Player of the Year award will present a difficult choice at Hartlepool. Spike, Tinks, Humps and Eifion must all be in the running but if I had to pick it would go to Chris Westwood. He has been terrific week in, week out and leads by example every week.
I am really looking forward to the return leg of Manchester United v Real Madrid as the first game was brilliant to watch. Real were so good but Man United are still in with a chance after scoring an away goal.
