A CAVALCADE of classic cars is coming to the North as part of a celebration of 100 years of British motoring.
Vauxhall is to recreate the 1,000-mile trial of 1900 with a range of cars to mark its centenary this year.
They include the 1911 Prince Henry, the 1932 Vauxhall Cadet, the 1952 Velox E and the 1963 Cresta PB.
The public will have the chance to see all 65 cars at a series of stopovers.
They will arrive at the International Centre for Life in Times Square, Newcastle, in the early evening of May 6.
The following morning they will set off from Washington, Wearside, stopping off at lunchtime in the Market Square, Stokesley, before going on to Clifford's Tower in York.
