MOURNERS packed Westgate Methodist Church in Wear-dale on Monday for the funeral of Graeme Pears, 20, who died in a car accident earlier this month.
Mr Pears, from Britton Hall, was born and brought up in Westgate. He was a pupil at St John's Primary and Wolsingham Comprehensive schools.
The son of Margaret and the late Malcolm Pears, he worked for Brambledown Landscape Contractors at Brandon, where his primary role was as a tractor driver.
Among the mourners were members of the Young Farmers Club and colleagues, including his supervisor Tom Curry. Donations in his memory were given to the Young Farmers.
An inquest into Mr Pears' death on April 3 has been opened and adjourned until investigations are completed.
