A POPULAR Medieval manor house in Durham opens for the season over the Easter weekend.
Crook Hall and gardens will open for the Easter break, starting on Good Friday.
Set in four acres near the banks of the River Wear, less than a mile from Durham city centre, Crook Hall features several themed gardens and a small maze.
The original hall dates back to 1286, but other parts of the building were added, including the Jacobean Room, which is allegedly haunted by The White Lady.
This weekend the hall's Easter bunny will hand out chocolate eggs to young visitors. There will also be face painting and egg hunts.
The hall opens from 1pm to 5pm Good Friday to Easter Monday, and on Bank Holidays and Sundays in May and September, and Monday to Friday, in June, July and August.
Admission is £4 adults, £3.50 concessions, and family ticket is £11.50, for two adults and up to three children.
