FORMER steeplejack and television presenter Fred Dibnah and his film crew visited Beamish Museum yesterday.
Mr Dibnah worked as a steeplejack in Bolton, Lancashire, until 20 years ago, when he was discovered by a documentary maker who was creating a series about people with unusual occupations. He then became a TV presenter.
Yesterday, he was at Beamish, near Chester-le-Street, to film for his latest series, The Age of Steam.
The film crew spent the day filming at the 1825 railway, which has two locomotives from the early 1800s.
A spokeswoman for the museum said: "Obviously we're delighted to have him here featuring Beamish on one of the programmes. We've got lots of visitors here today, enjoying watching him as well."
