THE Yorkshire Woodfair 2003 is to be incorporated in the major Countryside Live! event at the Great Yorkshire Showground.
Yorwoods has held talks with the Yorkshire Agricultural Society and is delighted with the arrangements.
Martin Glynn, director of Yorwaoods, based at Aske near Richmond, said: "We believe this will result in a better show for exhibitor and visitor alike as we will benefit from better facilities and more space, a larger yet still focused audience and better promotion and publicity, while retaining value for money stand and entrance fees.
"This will help to reinforce Yorkshire Woodfair 2003 as one the major forestry trade events of the year and make it a 'must go' for exhibitors and visitors in the region."
Countryside Live, - which takes place on October 25 and 26 - will also incorporate the Northern Counties Livestock Show..
In addition to the Yorkshire Woodfair 2003, it will include livestock displays and classes, agricultural trade stands and demonstrations, machinery displays and live Yorkshire Skills at "The Village".
It is supported by the team responsible for organising the Great Yorkshire Show, assisted by Yorwoods, which will co-ordinate the Woodfair area.
A comprehensive promotional campaign will target local radio and TV, regional and specialist magazines and national and regional newspapers.
The most recent Yorkshire Woodfair, in 2001, attracted more than 50 exhibitors and 1,000 visitors, with exhibitors reporting high levels of sales and visitors commenting on how enjoyable and useful the event was.
