The old art of horse-logging was revived for aspiring forestry workers last week.
Students studying for a National Certificate in Arboriculture at East Durham and Houghall College, on the outskirts of Durham, organised the display which saw horses used to move felled trees. Students studying for the qualification also put on their own felling display at the public event. College principal Ian Prescott said: "Houghall College has a fantastic history and to take the students 'back in time' was brilliant."
