GANG MUSICAL: The CBS Amateur Operatic Society is staging Guys and Dolls from Monday, April 28 to Saturday, May 3, at 7.15pm, in the Consett Empire.
Tickets are £4.50 for the Monday show and £6 with £5 concessions for the rest of the week.
Singing concert: The annual concert of the Gibside Singers will start at 7pm on Saturday, April 26 in the Lamplight Arts Centre, Stanley, with tickets at £5.
Antiques and crafts: Traditional hooky mat sessions are held from 2pm to 4pm each Monday in the Delves Lane Village Hall. Maurice Reed is holding an Antiques Roadshow at 6pm on Wednesday, April 23 in the hall. A pie and peas supper and two valuations are included in the £3 tickets.
Fairy tale: The Ugly Duckling is being staged at 2pm on Saturday, April 26 in the Dipton Community Centre. Tickets are £1 with 50p concessions.
Music at the Boar: Sticky Fingers are the guest stars of the Blue Boar in Stanley at 8pm on Saturday, April 26.
Flower demonstration: Olive Dalrymple of Gilsland will give a demonstration to the Lanchester and District Flower Club at 2pm on Wednesday, at the Lanchester Community Centre.
New ministers: Eileen Clough and Margaret Stod-dart have been commissioned as ministers for the Eucharist for St Mary's RC Church in South Moor. A total of £1,780.68 has been raised in the parish for the Southern Africa Appeal and a further £1,287.26 for the Horn of Africa Project.
Cathedral tour: Members of the Stanley Men's Thursday Club will be going on a trip to Durham Cathedral on Thursday, April 24.
