HISTORY was brought to life for visitors to Middlesbrough's Dorman Museum yesterday.
Staff and groups donned authentic outfits to recreate scenes from the town's past, for the Town in Time Alive day.
Members of Middlesbrough Heathly Eating Project demonstrated how domestic chores were tackled in the past while the Temperance Society served non-alcoholic cocktails at the old Newport Inn.
The museum has also organised activities for the school holidays.
Today, with Albert Park, it is holding a duck race. Participants are asked to meet at the main park gates, near the cenotaph, at 11am.
Tanya Bentham will be telling a mythical tale about a goose on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Sessions cost £1 and are held at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm on both days. Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.
To book a place, call (01642) 813781 or (01642) 358101.
Visitors are also challenged to find the ducks hidden around the museum. The duck hunt lasts until Saturday, April 26.
