A CONCERT will be held next month in memory of a popular church organist.
David Garrood, 61, from Sedgefield, died on December 29 after he suffered a heart attack while practising the piano.
Mr Garood, a music teacher, was an organist at St James the Great Church, Albert Hill, Darlington.
The first David Garrood memorial concert will be held at the church on Friday, May 2.
The organ has been upgraded in memory of Mr Garood following donations from his family.
