Complex wins civic award - DURHAM'S Millennium City complex has won a commendation in the Civic Trust's awards.
The £30m development in Claypath is home to the Gala Theatre, the Durham Clayport Library and various offices. It was part-funded by the Millennium Commission and was opened by The Queen last May. Millennium City won a commendation in the environmental design awards, which attracted almost 600 entries.
Librarian dies: Former Esh Winning librarian Rosemary Dolman has died at the age of 60. Prayers of thanksgiving for her life will be offered on Sunday, April 27, during Mass at St James the Great Church, Albert Hill, Darlington.
