A COMMUNITY group hoping to set up a trust to run Richmond's former railway station, has commissioned a company to compile a detailed feasibility study.
Potts, Parry, Ives and Young, of York, has been signed up to lead the project.
The firm will begin by sifting through the 600 letters from the public suggesting possible uses for the empty building.
A public meeting is planned for 7pm in Richmond Town Hall on Tuesday, April 29, to give anyone else with views on the future of the building an opportunity to have their say.
"We are delighted to be working with Potts, Parry, Ives and Young," said a spokesman for the Friends of Richmond Railway Station.
"We have appreciated the very willing and constructive expert support we have received from officers of the district council, as well as local individuals with their own relevant expertise in identifying the firm to conduct the study."
Richmondshire District Council will consider the study findings when it is completed at the end of July.
