A £4,000 grant has helped to make people feel more secure in their homes.
Easterside and Saltersgill Community Council, in Middlesbrough, received the grant from the Community Support Fund to spend on security equipment for residents' homes.
The equipment includes dusk-to-dawn lights, carbon monoxide detectors, timer switches for lights, door chains, spy-holes, window and door alarms, personal alarms and ultraviolet marker pens.
Freda Wardle, 66, of Gleneagles Walk, Easterside, said: "I do feel a lot safer now with my door chain on the front door. I think they are doing a wonderful job applying for grants to increase security."
Anyone who applied for the security equipment but has not picked it up yet can collect it from the Edra building, Broughton Avenue, from 7pm on Thursday.
