GENTLE EXERCISE: A three-and-a-half mile walk around Ouston and Urpeth with some stiles to negotiate will start at 11am tomorrow, from the cul-de-sac opposite St Benet's RC Primary School.

CHARITY CONCERT: Roseberry Youth Connection is staging a concert with the Chester-le-Street Band in support of the chairman's charities at 7pm, on Thursday, in the theatre of Roseberry Comprehensive School, with tickets at £6, or £4 for children and pensioners.

FAMILY FUN: The Corner Flag in Birtley is holding a family disco from 1pm to 4pm on Monday, with dominoes, darts and pool handicaps being held in the bar.
