THE sunny spring has meant this year's daffodils are lasting longer than ever - which is good news for visitors to Farndale this Easter.
The splash of colour has been particularly welcomed by one family hard hit by the crisis in the countryside since opening a business on the North York Moors in 2000.
Joanne Loggie, who runs the Daffy Caffy, said: "Even into next week, there will still be lots of daffodils on show."
"Our first season was the wettest April on record, it rained every single day. The next year, because of foot-and-mouth, the footpath was closed and that wiped our trade out for the year.
"Last year was fantastic, but we had so many debts we were breaking even. This year will be the one."
The daffodils are not Ms Loggie's only spring arrival. Ruben, now 11 weeks old, has joined three-year-old Jake in keeping the family busy between customers.
