A 1940s dance and military show will be held this summer to raise money towards the restoration of a former prisoner-of-war camp.
The owners of Harperley PoW Camp, near Wolsingham, County Durham, have teamed up with the regional branch of Military Vehicles Trust (MVT) to organise the events.
James and Lisa McCleod plan to restore the camp's 49 huts, which had been used as hen huts and agricultural storage, to create a museum and visitor centre.
The 17-acre site, known as Camp 93 when it was built in 1943 to house low-risk Italian and German prisoners, was awarded scheduled monument status last summer.
Mrs and Mrs McCleod and the Northern Area MVT will hold the military vehicle and paraphernalia show at the camp on Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8. It will include vintage vehicles, Second World War armour and uniforms, displays, a fun fair plus arena events.
On the Saturday night a marquee at the camp will host the mid-summer dance, with music from The Clive Collins Band and a Second World War searchlight display.
Tickets, which are priced £10, including supper, are available on 07801 583680 or 07734 419196.
