Hathaway and Cope Stokesley League - M'bro St Mary's College OB 1 B&H Kings Head FC 2: Although both sides mathematically still had the chance of catching Thornaby Mandale, realistically this game was all about the runners up spot.
King's Head came into the game with a 9-1 midweek win against South Bank United under their belts but they went behind when Mark Allinson raced down the right wing before crossing to Dave Aspery who drove the ball home. Minutes later, Kings Head were back on level terms when Brian Crawley slotted the ball home.
The visitors who took the points when Steve Smith fired home, again following a well flighted free kick.
Thornaby Man FC 7 Stokesley SC 0
Stokesley did well in the first half and it was not until a minute from half time that Andrew Dyson turned two defenders before coolly placing the ball past the advancing keeper. Mandale moved up a gear and were soon two up when Steve Lambert scored with the help of a deflection. Steve Baker added a third with a fierce drive before Lambert scored from the edge of the area before completing his hat trick with a chip over the keeper. Andrew Barnes scored from close range before Dyson completed the scoring from ten yards out.
Redcar CO 2 The Grenadier FC 6
Coke Ovens suffered one of their biggest home defeats of the season that began when Andrew Conway finished off a well worked move for the Grenadier. Sean Beatson capitalised on a defensive mix-up to get the Cokies back on level terms but similar confusion in the Coke Ovens defence led to the Grenadier retaking the lead through Craig Bishop. Conway made it 3-1 with a 30 yard shot that curled into the roof of the net before Bishop put the Grenadier well and truly in the driving seat with two more goals to complete his hat trick. Coke Ovens reduced the deficit early in the second half when Tony Duffy put Lee Stephenson through but it was Conway who had the last word driving the ball home for a hat-trick.
Ennis Square 5 NS Bulls Head FC 0
Ennis took the lead when Richard Mason crossed for Stephen Lee Gent to volley home from the edge of the area. Gent did mange a second once again volleying sweetly into the roof of the net. Substitute Alan Beach wasted no time scoring twice early in the second with man of the match Clarke the provider and Ennis rounded off a fine display when Gent scored.
Coulby Newham LF 0 North Skelton 1
The East Cleveland side took the lead when Ritchie Previll fed the ball through to Anthony McCabe who volleyed home from 25 yards out.
Thornaby Village 2 Stockton Elementis 2
The Village took the lead when Gary Padgett headed home Michael Allison's centre at the far post but they were pegged back when their ex player Paul Todd cut in from the left wing before scoring. Elementis then took the lead when Todd and Allison linked up well before Allison found the top corner of the net. But Melville crossed for Gareth Evans to score a deserved equaliser.
Woodmans Arms 1 South Bank United 1
The Woodman's picked up another point against a South Bank United side whose own form has seen some wild variations in recent weeks. Woodmans started the brighter with only United keeper James Nelles stopping them taking the lead. It was United who struck first when John Webster scored despite keeper Graham Sharp blocking Webster's first effort. United might well have increased their lead but the Woodmans came right back into the game when Steve Sherrington's pin point free kick was deflected home by Paul Rowe.
