This eventually woke up the away side with Lukas Sutton chasing a long ball and slotted the ball under the keeper. Four minutes later Sutton's pass found John Henry who equalised, Brompton scored the winner that they did not deserve when Henry forced home after a goalmouth scramble, Lukas Sutton was named man of the match.
Richmond Town

In the second half Richmond were virtually camped in the Thirsk half of the field dominating the match for longer passages of play and despite several clear chances, had only one second half goal to show for their efforts which was scored by leading scorer B Whiteside.
Thirsk were a team determined to beat Richmond's unbeaten run but despite losing the unbeaten task the team have had a fantastic season, winning the league by some distance and a final on May 9 to look forward to.

The hard ground made for a scrappy end of season encounter between the Under-14s B and New Marske. Both defences were on top throughout although Norton slightly shaded the first half. Carl Nugent had a chance cleared off the line but a 0-0 draw was a fair result.
In an end of season game with little at stake, the Under-17s A team took on Hartlepool Power Station in a game played on Norton's Northern League pitch. It seemed to suit the visitors who scored through Martin, Malham and Brown with a single goal reply by Asif for Norton saw Hartlepool Power Station win comfortably 3-1.
Norton Under-17s B needed to win their game to maintain their bid to take the Second Division title. Unfortunately Cawood Wanderers could only field an under-strength team and Norton took advantage to win easily 14-1. Leading the goalscoring was Craggs and Dalby with four goals each but credit must go to the Cawood players who kept going right to the end and showed tremendous spirit.

They added to it with an opportunist goal from Shaun Taylor and at the final whistle had earned a well deserved 2-0 win.

Rohm and Haas JOC Hetton Youth League
Leaders Lumley will play Herrington in the final of the league subsidiary cup. They enjoyed a fairly easy passage when they defeated Lambton Street, but Herrington had their work cut out before seeing off the challenge from Ryhope.
Craig McManus gave Lumley a first half advantage and further goals by Mark Younger and Simon Dolman left Lambton Street with a mountain to climb. Paul Middlemiss reduced the arrears to throw the Wearsiders a lifeline, but their hopes ended when Christopher Yates scored a fourth goal for Lumley.
Ryhope led at the halfway stage with a goal from Paul Fenwick when they entertained Herrington. There was never much between the sides and after Craig Ellison equalised the result could have gone either way, but it was Herrington who came out on top by a 2-1 margin when Ellison again found the net. Lumley are now on course for a double. They lead Jarrow St Bedes by 12 points, but the South Tynesiders have two games in hand. Despite being 20 points adrift of Lumley, Herrington cannot be discounted since they have fulfilled six fewer fixtures than Lumley.
