Apollo Doors Gateshead Youth League: Leaders Heworth are on course for a double in the Under-11 division after defeating Redheugh 2-1 in the cup final.
Joe Robb and Craig Taylor were the scorers, while for Redheugh Jack Scott kept his side in the game until the end.
Heworth lead Blackfyne, who have played the same number of fixtures, by three points with Low Fell in third position. Low Fell defeated Felling Magpies 2-1 while Winlaton had a 5-1 victory in their home game with Leam Rangers. Lee Whitfield rifled a hat-trick.
There was an exciting fixture between Prudhoe Town and Hebburn Reyrolle. Stuart Smith was the hero for Hebburn as he scored all four goals in a 4-3 victory. Ben Smith netted twice for Prudhoe Town.
Leam Rangers Y consolidated pole position in the Under-12 section with a 3-0 home win over Beamish. Chopwell stay second after they defeated Leam Rangers G by two clear goals and Blackfyne are also in contention following their 3-0 success against Cleveland Hall when Daniel Walker scored two of the goals.
Low Fell visited bottom of the table Blaydon and enjoyed a 9-1 victory as James Young struck a hat-trick and Mark Potts found the net on four occasions.
The only game played in the Under-13 division was the subsidiary cup final and Redheugh celebrated with a 2-0 victory over Cleveland Hall. Kevin Hempsall and Terry Galbraith were the marksmen.
At Under-14 level Blackfyne are just six points adrift of leaders Redheugh with one match in hand following their midweek success. Blaydon produced the highest score of the day defeating basement side Cooperhall 9-1 when Stephen Bell found the net seven times.
A brace of goals by Carl Kelly featured in Whickham Glebe's 3-0 win at Felling Magpies. Cleveland Hall just edged Leam Rangers 2-1 and Redheugh ran out 5-1 victors over Consett. Carl Dodds scored two goals for the Reds.
Blaydon are champions of the Under-15 division following their 3-0 victory over bottom of the table Rutherford in the final game of the season.
Felling Magpies moved up into third position, seven points behind Cleveland Hall who were without a game. The Magpies gained three points with a hard fought 3-2 victory at Redheugh when all the goals for Magpies were scored by Callum Burn.
Leam Rangers celebrated their 12th win in 16 outings to stay in fourth place. They ended 3-1 ahead of Consett, while Beamish just had the edge of Ryton, securing a 3-2 success.
New County North Durham Youth League
Despite losing to third from top Cleveland Hall, Birtley still enjoy a comfortable lead in the Under-16 division.
Cleveland Hall consolidated their place when they won by an only goal inflicting upon Birtley just their second defeat in 17 outings.
Blaydon were hard pressed before seeing off the challenge of Beamish by a 5-4 margin. David Taylor struck four times for Blaydon and Lee Harvey bagged a brace of goals for Beamish.
Blaydon, who have played one game more than Birtley, are seven points behind the leaders and although Cleveland Hall are 12 points adrift of Birtley, they cannot be discounted since they have four games in hand.
Consett produced the biggest score of the day when they defeated bottom of the table and pointless Rutherford 8-1. Most of the goals were scored by Parkin (3) and Whitfield (2).
Leam Rangers were not far behind Consett in the scoring stakes. They put seven goals into the Wylam net and the hosts managed just two in reply. Both John Storey and Robbie Nixon scored twice for Leam Rangers.
In the other fixture Redheugh celebrated their seven win of the season defeating second from bottom Blackfyne by four clear goals.
In the Under-17 division Consett consolidated third place with a single goal victory over Felling Magpies. David Appleby was their scoring hero.
Prudhoe Town went to West Denton and finished 3-0 winners and Swalwell enjoyed a 4-1 success over Blaydon when Gary Andrews hit a couple of goals.
