CHILDREN entered into the Easter spirit at the weekend with traditional egg painting and rolling.
People gathered at Ropner Park, in Stockton, on Sunday to take part in a nature walk, a treasure trail and various craft activities.
It was the first in a series of events designed to encourage more people to use the park.
"We will shortly be consulting local young people to work out how their ideas and opinions regarding the park can be heard," said Craig Adamson, chairman of the Friends of Ropner Park.
The group was formed last year and has 75 members, with Sir John Ropner as its patron.
