FUNDRAISERS are hoping to boost funds for cancer research next month with a coach trip to the museum of Scottish Country Life - Kittochside Farm.
The £9m farm, the result of a partnership between the National Museums of Scotland and The National Trust for Scotland, shows how country people lived and worked in years gone by.
Situated on a 170-acre site between East Kilbride and Glasgow, it offers a valuable insight into the constantly changing ways of life in Scotland's rural past.
The trip has been organised by Cotherstone charity champion Ian Douglas, from Teesdale, County Durham, who has raised thousands of pounds for cancer research over the years.
A bus departs from Barnard Castle town centre on May 11, at 7.30am. Tickets, including entry, cost £16.50 for adults, £13.20 for pensioners and £12 for children under 14.
