Crook League: Ithe top of the table clash Crook Royal Sun Inn went down by three points to the visiting leaders, Crook Belle Vue, who increased their lead to four points over Crook Mill House, who moved up into second place following their home win over Crook Queen's Head A.
There are four teams locked together only one point behind the Mill.
Crook Travellers Rest A could have been above this bunch but they went down in the deciding doubles at Crook White Swan. The Swan had singles wins from Lee Airey, John Varley and Les Sanders with Dave Poulter, John Carrick and Gavin Hudspeth levelling. In the doubles the Swan went to victory when Andrew Finch and Lee Airey beat Steve Todd and Tony Storey.
Crook Surtees slipped out of the top three in the Second Division when they only took two points from their visit to Croft Social Club with wins from Fred Hunt and Paul Ford. The home side had singles wins from Bob Spence, Wilf Smith, Ann Martindale and Geoff Hepple to add to the doubles of Dave Lacey and Bob Spence.
Hunwick Club lead the Second Division by two points from Crook King's Head, who are two points ahead of Willington Brewer's Droop, who have a match in hand.
