The Dales Countryside Museum in Hawes has been full this week - which has meant a busy few days for Richmond artist Jill Clay.
She has been leading seasonal silk-painting workshops for the past few years.
She said: "It has been better than ever this week. People who have been on workshops before are coming back, which is great news for me and the town.''
There were also workshops for children.
"Kids love art but they seem to find silk-painting fascinating,'' she said.
"It is probably because they can watch the paints move - but I have to admit, one of the hardest things I have to do is stop their parents taking the brushes off them and taking over.''
Ms Clay returns to the museum in May and June, when work in textiles will also be added to the silk-painting sessions. For details, call (01969) 667450.
