SIX venture scouts are to be given the scouting movement's highest awards.
All successfully completed a series of projects ranging from expedition training to community involvement to qualify for the Queen's Scout award.
The six are David Himsworth and Philip Williams from the 1st Loftus, David Lawson and Colin Martin from the 1st Brotton Venture Units, Gary O'Neill from the Central Redcar Venture Unit and Rebecca Wright from the Phoenix Venture Scout Unit in West Middlesbrough.
The scouts will receive their awards from Redcar and Cleveland Council mayor Eric Jackson at a ceremony in Eston Town Hall.
