A DOZEN Herriot County attractions across Hambleton have joined forces with the Vikings to offer tourists even more for their money.
A passport scheme has been devised jointly by the Herriot Country Attractions Group and Jorvik, in York.
The three-month passport entitles visitors to two-for-one admission to the 12 centres, gives them discounts at Jorvik and entry into a free prize draw.
Group chairman Ian Ashton said: "This is a first for the attractions group and one we are very excited about."
"We have been working hard to bring more visitors into the district and by joining forces with one of Yorkshire's biggest players we hope even more people will be encouraged to come and see what we have to offer in Hambleton."
Mount Grace Priory, near Northallerton, Kiplin Hall, near Richmond, The World of James Herriot, in Thirsk, Sion Hill Hall, at Kirby Wiske, and the Ritz Cinema, in Thirsk, are among those taking part.
The passports can be collected after a visit to any of the attractions or from Jorvik, in Coppergate, York, and are available from Monday until June 27.
