PUMP maintenance specialist MF Sealing Systems has bought Allen Gwynnes, the process pump repair division of the Marske Machine Company.
The deal will see the company move its Flowserve Maintenance Repair operation into the premises of Allen Gwynnes, increasing staff numbers to more than 30 during the next year.
The deal sees Flowserve provide management and technical expertise, with MFS providing logistics and workshop facilities.
Ian Watson, managing director of MFS, said: "We won the 1997 Teesside Business Awards in partnership with Allen Gwynnes, so buying the firm was a natural progression."
"Brian Scorer, UK aftermarket manager for Flowserve, said: "Our aim is to bring a high quality, cost effective service to Teeside and we believe our technical capability will achieve this."
