Dozens of exhibitors queued up to be part of a North flower show but organisers have resisted the temptation to expand, pledging quality before quantity.
Harrogate Spring Flower Show, at the Great Yorkshire Showground until Sunday, has seen 25,000 advance tickets sold - 2,000 up on previous events.
There are more than 450 exhibitors, but nearly 50 have had to be turned away due to lack of space.
The show is the first nationally recognised event of its type in the floral calendar.
