AN entry of more than 600 horses ensured the Witton Castle charity horse trials held at the end of last month was another successful event.
The course, featuring several new fences, rode well in exceptionally kind weather.
Last year, the event raised £4,000 for St Teresa's Hospice, £1,500 towards a defibrillator for the Cornmill Centre in Darlington and £1,000 for the Mark Davis Injured Riders' Fund.
The organisers said they were grateful to all volunteers for their help and support. The next event takes place on September 26, 27 and 28.
