Yorkshire's Simon Guy led Darlington to victory in the Premier Division game against Hartlepool at Park Drive.
The visitors faced a target of almost 200 and after losing their openers for a combined total of only 19 runs, Guy took control of the innings making 86.
Daniel Page maintained the momentum and his unbeaten 30 was a valuable contribution.

Middlesbrough had just four runs to spare over Guisborough at Acklam Park.
Conway's 60 and 37 not out from Lee Roberts propelled Boro to 178-7 and as Richard Hornbrook took up the challenge for the visitors making 59, an exciting finale ensued. Conway's 5-42 proved to be a winning performance in the Boro attack.
Gary Mudd hit an unbeaten century and there were half centuries from both Grainge and John Doyle junior in Great Ayton's 247-2 at Darlington, who ended on 173-5 at stumps.
John Woolnough led Wolviston to victory at Stokesley finishing unbeaten on 81 and Marton, defeated Bedale by five wickets after Lane, with 6-22, had restricted the visitors to only 106.
* A fantastic century stand between Alistair Brown and Mark Ramprakash helped lift Surrey to a tense one-wicket victory over battling Worcestershire in the National League First Division yesterday.
The New Road success was Surrey's second win in two days following their 25-run triumph over Warwickshire at the Oval on Sunday.
