Detectives hunting the rapist of a woman in North-East bus shelter are trying to trace a white van seen in the area at the time.
A police spokesman said the 24-year-old victim was attacked at a brick bus shelter in Victoria Road East, Hebburn, South Tyneside between midnight to 12.30am on Sunday.
He spokesman said: "The victim was approached by two men who grabbed her and pushed her into the bus shelter where one of them raped her.
"Police want to trace a white van seen parked t a bus shelter near the Windsor Nursing Home and detectives need to speak to the people inside, as they could be key witnesses.
He added, tHeHThe victim was also missing a denim shoulder bag, which could also be carried under the arm.
Both men were in their 20s-30s. One was described as having dark short spiky hair, wearing jeans and dark trousers. One wore a denim jacket and the other a dark top. Anyone with information has been asked to call 0191-454 7555 ext 65059.
