POLICE are appealing for information following a serious sexual assault over the weekend.
The female victim had been drinking in Hebburn, South Tyneside, when the incident happened, at 1.45am on Sunday.
She was walking along Victoria Road East, close to the Windsor Nursing Home, when she was grabbed by two men and dragged into a nearby bus shelter.
They sexually assaulted her and made off.
The men were aged between 20 and 30, with dark, spiked hair, and were wearing dark jackets and trainers.
