A public meeting and discussion on the future of the Star Wars programme is being hosted by Darlington for Peace at the Friends Meeting House, Skinnergate, Darlington, at 7.30pm tomorrow.
The speaker will be Lindis Percy, from the Campaign for the Accountability of American Bases.
CONCERT DATE: Folk musician Jez Lowe is performing at Bishop Auckland Town Hall tonight with his band the Bad Pennies. The concert starts at 8pm. Tickets are available from the box office on (01388) 602610.

THEATRE FESTIVAL: The North Eastern Division final of the All England Theatre Festival of One Act Plays, held in Sedgefield Parish Hall, was won by Ferriby Dramatic Society, from Humberside. They go on to the next round in York on Saturday.
JAZZ APPEAL: The Sans Pareils Jazzband, in Shildon, is looking for new members, aged ten to 16. Anyone interested can visit the Jubilee Fields Community Centre on Mondays,at 5pm, or call (01388) 775728.

WOODLAND WALK: A 4.5mile guided walk will be held on Sunday around Bishop Auckland and Bellburn Wood as part of the Wear Walking to Health initiative. Meet at the entrance to Auckland Castle, at 9.45am.
MOTHERS UNION: The next Sedgefield Mothers Union meeting will be held on Monday, at 2pm, in St Edmund's Church. Christine Wass will speak about planters.
