SEVENTIES rocker Steve Harley will perform at a music festival this month.
Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me) is one of Britain's most played pop songs - almost 30 years after it was recorded by Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel. It has been a top 40 hit three times and there have been more than 100 cover versions.
On Monday, May 26, he will perform at Middlesbrough's free Music Live festival.
Festival organiser Graham Ramsey said: "We really wanted to find an experienced campaigner to headline this stage, and Steve is one of the best. His live performances are absolutely captivating and still selling out venues all over the world."
The line-up also includes Junior Senior, Reef, The Bandits and Puressence, Easyworld and Harry.
