ONE of radio's longest running programmes came to the region to record two shows.
Great Smeaton village hall welcomed four panellists who fielded inquiries for BBC Radio 4's Gardeners' Question Time.
The first programme, broadcast on Sunday, May 11, will focus on queries from gardeners in the village.
The second, on Sunday, June 15, will include questions from people from across North Yorkshire.
Producer Trevor Taylor said: "The team was delighted to have been invited to Great Smeaton. We have many loyal and enthusiastic listeners in the area."
Organic gardener Bob Flowerdew, landscape gardener John Cushnie and writer/broadcaster Matthew Biggs made up the panel.
Gardeners' Question Time has dealt with about 26,000 queries since its first broadcast in 1947.
