YOUNGSTERS Jason Ferry and Chris Robson got face to face with Daisy the cow on a trip to a working farm.
The friendly Friesian gave the youngsters a gentle nuzzle as they enjoyed a tour of Cockle Park Farm in Northumberland.
The visit was part of a 'bring your children to work' day taking place at the Asda store in Stanley.
The group of children spent the day finding out how milk gets from the farmer, into cartons and on to the supermarket shelves.
They had a tour of the farm and a chance to milk the cows. They also visited the Arla dairy in Gosforth, where the milk is processed, and then travelled back to Stanley to put the finished product on the shelves.
An Asda spokeswoman said: "The kids really enjoyed the day and it gave them a better idea of the dairy industry and what their parents do at work."
