WAR enthusiasts kept a keen eye on the enemy and drew up battle plans as the tanks and the infantry arrived at the weekend.
The table-top battleground was awash with miniature figures and fighting machines as part of the annual Battlegroup North Wargames and Military Vehicle Show, held at the Yorkshire Air Museum, in Elvington, near York.
Large crowds gathered at the museum to watch many famous military conflicts being re-enacted in miniature.
Traders and exhibitors from across the country took part in the two-day show, where 50 military vehicles and aircraft were also on display.
They included a Second World War Douglas C47 Dakota, which landed in the grounds of the museum on Sunday and left on Monday.
