A THREE-MAN team from RAF Leeming will be trekking across Scotland later this month in aid of charity.
The challenge will see the team hiking across 220 miles of wilderness and mountainous areas in 14 days.
The route, which starts at Torridon, on the west coast of Scotland, and finishes at Saint Cyrus, on the east coast, takes in 40 mountains and 11,620 metres of climbing.
The group, all from the Armament Engineering Flight, is made up of team leader Sergeant Dave Gibb, Junior Technician Steve Semmens and Senior Aircraftsman Anton Coburn.
The men, who are experienced mountain walkers, have been training hard during the past weeks to prepare for the challenge.
The money they raise will go towards providing practical advice, assistance and funding for the Northallerton and Dales Mencap Society drop-in centre, at Goosecroft Lane, Northallerton.
