AN exhibition to celebrate the life and work of a south Durham artist who died last year is on show for the last time today.
The Man and His Mark, in the McGuinness Gallery at Bishop Auckland Town Hall, County Durham, pays tribute to the late Ben Johnson.
The Newcastle-born artist lived in Staindrop, in Teesdale, for 30 years and taught art and photography at the village comprehensive school.
He took early retirement in 1997 to concentrate on his art, inspired by the woodlands of nearby Raby Estate.
The exhibition will be open from 9am to 4pm today.
