A DARLINGTON school is appealing for people to donate old Scrabble sets to help its Polish twin.
Hurworth Comprehensive School is twinned with a secondary school in the town of Trzbinia, near Krakow, Poland.
The school is organising a Scrabble in English competition, but does not have the resources to buy sets.
Hurworth School is looking for about 20 sets of the popular game which teachers can take over during an exchange visit.
Teacher Rita Rees said: "They are a very poor school with very limited resources and they have asked us if we can find about 20 sets for them. Our school is having a visit to Poland on May 20 and we are hoping to be able to deliver them when we go there."
Anyone who can help is asked to contact the school on (01325) 720424
