LINGFIELD-BOUND Move It (3.45) has proved to be a colt who can really shift by rattling off a quick-fire sprint hat-trick during the past month.

All tracks seem to come alike to Roger Charlton's flying machine, successful at Bath, Windsor, and Sandown in recent weeks. And despite flashing up the weights faster than a his able trainer would have liked, if anything Move It won even more impressively than ever at the last-named track where jockey Steve Drowne sat quieter than a church mouse.

Having poached three relatively minor contests, it's hardly surprising that Charlton is now pitching for some serious money in the £60,000 Showcase Handicap over six furlongs at the Surrey venue.

But I'd don't believe Move It will be fazed for one minute by the stronger nature of the opposition, such is his rocket-like speed. Incidentally for those readers interested in pedigrees, Move It is a son of the remarkably versatile sire Cadeaux Genereux, also responsible for Hugs Dancer, our 9-1 nap winning in Wednesday's Chester Cup over the much longer trip of two-miles-two-furlongs.

John Dunlop could have yet another high-class filly on his hands provided Santa Sophia (2.15) can come through her Oaks' trial with flying colours.

Dunlop's softly-softly policy of keeping Santa Sophia's powder relatively dry until this term paid off handsomely when she bolted up at Windsor over ten furlongs on her reappearance last month.

And judging by the way the progressive three-year-old was powering away at the finish she'll be even more effective over today's longer trip, so despite having a bit to find according to the official ratings, Santa Sophia appears to have a solid each-way chance.

Beverley's most valuable race, the £20,000 Coachman Caravans Conditions Stakes, features the 2002 Ayr Gold Cup hero Funfair Wane (2.30).

Owned by Kevin and Jean Keegan, Funfair Wane hasn't been at his best on two outing to date so far this season, none the less notwithstanding the big threat from recent Kempton scorer, Danger Over, Funfair Wane must go very close.

Lionhearted Ziggy Zen (3.00) is fancied to take the Optima Stayers Handicap having displayed courage beyond the call of duty at Warwick last time out.

The Charles Czyer-trained raider appeared totally cooked when headed at the Midlands' track 31 days ago, but he would not be denied getting his head back in front right on the lollipop under a vigorous drive from Kieren Fallon.

Fallon's services have been claimed for the big bucks at Lingfield leaving the leading lightweight Martin Dwyer to do the steering on the selection, who makes the long journey up from West Sussex.

Finally to Thirsk's evening meeting where Desraya (7.10) looks a good bet provided he can bag the favoured far rail in the Dick Peacock Sprint Handicap.

Kevin Ryan, who trains just a few miles from the track, has his horses is perfectly good order at present and Desraya's credentials aren't bad either, having won a very competitive handicap at Newmarket last August.

He'll strip plenty fitter for his comeback outing at Catterick in April and should be thereabouts in the six furlong dash under the ever-reliable Fergal Lynch emerging from stall number one.

My best news for Hexham's jump meeting surrounds Kate Milligan's Tender Touch (3.55), fancied to come out on top in the Tant Handicap Chase.
